The follow up to My First World Sensation last year is a display of humor and timing. This is how a fun book should be.
Abbe hates insects, something her small village is full of. Her grandma’s trick to get over this fobia is to meet with librarian and insect collector Sven. He can teach her to like insects. Though Abbe is very skeptical, as it turns out he has an entire insect room at home. He is particularly interested in the double jawed sawfly. His goal in life is to find one.
Abbe’s Grandma has in mind to find Sven a girlfriend for his fiftieth birthday, after all, he should socialize with someone other than his insects. But Abbe has other plans: she is going to find him a double jawed sawfly. But she is not going
to look for it herself, no, she recruits her friends to help. And her friends’ friends. And in the end, both the hunt for a chick and the hunt for a sawfly turn out to be successful.
Abbe is a super cool girl you won’t be able to resist. The story is full of humor, the tempo is high, you giggle quietly, then not so quietly, and you get in a good mood.
