It is summer and seven-year-old Tora, her little brother Sam and their family have moved out to the country.
Perhaps the main character in this book is Muffi – Tora’s stuffed dog that she can’t live without. She knows that she should be growing out of the stuffed animal phase, but she doesn’t care what other people think. Until she meets the neighbor’s kids on the beach. Then she starts having doubts. Especially when Erik asks her how old she really is.
She also understands that they have a club that she would really like to be a part of.
After a while, Tora gets her chance. The club members are having a flee market and one of the girls asks her if she wants to be a part of it and sell things. So Tora bakes muffins and Mom gives her some candle holders and a few other things that she can take. And she brings Muffi.
The flee market goes really well. Tora even has to go home and get more muffins. It all sells. But when they pack up, Tora discovers that Muffi is missing and she gets very upset. Can it be that one of the guys sold Muffi?
Åsa Karsin has written and illustrated the second book about Tora-Lora-Lej, easy-to-read about the everyday life of a little girl.
