Izzy finds two forgotten bags with pet fish on the bus. One with a large blue and red striped fish, and one with a bunch of little guppies. Of course FFGD has to get on it!
The fish must be returned to their owner. They turn out to belong to Marko-Polo, from the nearby block of flats, the guy who lives for his fish and who always wears the same brown polo shirt and light brown corduroy pants and who smells like a garbage dump. When they return the fish to him, things don’t work out the way they planned. The big fish has ended up in the same bag with the little fish, and
has eaten all of them.
To make amends, they want to do something nice for Marko. They will find him a date! But of course, this too, goes wrong.
The girl they find, who they thought was perfect, turns out to be a great fish lover – though in the wrong sense. She loves to eat them, and Marko hates everybody who eats fish.
Fast tempo, humor, great sense of the here and now, easy to identify with, and fun characters. The third book about The Fellowship for Good Deeds, the club that believes that the world sucks, and does what it can to make it better.
Reader voices about the previous book in the series:
“Wonderful with ambitious young philanthropists! Without morals or lecturing. Simply a good book. Best in a long time.”
