Johanna was born on Iceland, but grow up in Sweden with her mom. She lives and breathes for her beloved riding school horse Kasper. When Kasper gets sick and has to be put down something in Johanna breaks. Johanna loses her grip on reality more and more, and finally her mom sends her to her dad on Iceland, partly in order for her to get away from her problems, but also because her grandmother does not have long to live.
Now begins an entirely new existence, a life far out in the countryside together with the wild horses, but also with a quiet Dad who is not easy to get to know again.
With her innovative horse book Adzerk – the White Stallion, Lin Hallberg won the Children’s Best Novel Award. Here comes yet another horse story which looks like nothing else on the market. There is room for both horses and relationships in this gripping story with multiple depths.
