The horn of the ship howls so you can hear it across all of Smallville. It is Captain Baxter and his men who every year dock at the harbor. The captain always tells of his dizzying adventures. And all the people in Smallville gather to listen. Last year, he fell overboard and wrestled a giant octopus. Another time, he was chased by Mountain Gorillas on an island in the Pacific Ocean.
While Captain Baxter tells of his new adventures, the jewelry collection of the local jeweler disappears. People suspect Red Beard - the worst pirate of them all. He loves jewels. But how could a pirate end up in Smallville? And who will be able to stop him?
