Road movie for the insatiable middle grade readers!
The Escape starts up where Sisters of the Forest, published last year, ended. This time the story is told by Tuva, one of four orphaned sisters, who, since nine months, live in separate places. They were placed in different foster families in different cities. Tuva is unhappy in her family and the story begins when she plans her escape to find her sisters. After a very dramatic getaway she finds them, and together they plan the great escape. The social services and the police are after them. The sisters are helped by a woman Tuva met. The escape takes a turn for the worst. They constantly risk discovery, still, are safe in the knowledge that they have found each other again.
The Escape is easy to read. It is straightforward and told in a natural manner. Works perfectly for boys and girls in the insatiable reader years.
